Tallahassee, FL – December, 2011 – JD James, Inc. d/b/a Nature Bridges www.naturebridges.com, wins the 2011 Excellence in Construction Merit Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors for the construction of a 2.7 mile multi-use trail system in Suwanee Georgia at George Pierce Park.

The ABC’s Awards of Excellence Program has become the premier competition within the construction industry that recognizes outstanding construction projects across the nations. The 2011 Excellence in Construction award is presented on an bi-annual basis to contractors who excel in various types of construction projects.

JD James, Inc. was hired by Gwinnett County in Suwanee, Georgia as a General Contractor to connect the Suwannee Creek Greenway Trail to existing trails in George Pierce Park. The 1.02 million dollar project consists of approximately 1.75 miles of multi-use trails that includes one mile of concrete trail, over 1,850 lineal feet of golf cart bridges and boardwalks, timber free span bridges over creeks, several retaining wall sections, timber curbing and scenic overlooks.

In addition to the Excellence in Construction Award, Nature Bridges was also awarded a Gold Safety Award from ABC. The Safety Award recognizes companies who establish rigourous safety practices and polices to ensure a safe work environment for their employees. “Our employees are our largest asset.
