Lafayette Heritage Trail
Nature Bridges, the Award Winning boardwalk and timber bridge contractor, completed a free-span pedestrian railroad overpass, pedestrian timber truss bridge, and boardwalks at beautiful Lafayette Heritage Park in Tallahassee, FL.
The canopy system was completed on December 9, 2013, taking 7 months to complete. Nature Bridges designed and constructed a 10’ wide x 133’ long steel free-span railroad pedestrian overpass with 715 total lineal feet of pedestrian truss bridge approaches. Nature Bridges used its top down construction method to build the wooden pedestrian boardwalk bridges that meander through the tops of 200-year-old Live Oaks. This canopy trail gives users the feel of being in a tree house.
Pier Park Lifestyle Center Wood Trellis Construction
Located in the center of Panama City Beach Florida, Pier Park is a Simon “Signature Project” serving as the premier shopping destination for the Panama City market and the entire Emerald Coast. During construction, Nature Bridges constructed over 12,000 feet of trellis systems, decorative rafter tails, wooden struts and steel wall brackets. The wood trellises added a beautiful decorative touch to the lifestyle center.
Wetappo Estates Development Pedestrian Bridges and Docks
The completed project includes arched pedestrian bridges over two separate lakes, construction of two T-shaped docks on one of the lakes, and two docks on Wetappo Creek. All of the amenities were built using the innovative top-down construction method. With top-down construction, all large equipment stays on top of the new structure during the entire building process. This method provides a long-lasting structure and helps to preserve the surrounding plant and animal habitats during and after construction.
Pedestrian Boardwalk at South Chickamauga Creek Greenway
The South Chickamauga Creek Greenway project has been in the works since 1994. Organizations in Chattanooga have worked long and hard to acquire land easements in order to create this large system of parks and greenways. The new boardwalks overlook forested creek banks and the paved paths are perfect for biking along the scenic trail. The conveniently located trailheads make parking a breeze and provide easy access to the boat slips for a day of kayaking.
Gilcrest River House
Nature Bridges constructed 400 ft of 6′ wide elevated bridge. This project also includes a screened living area as well as a 10′ x 10′ riverside overlook with stairs leading down to a 10′ x 10′ swim platform. Nature Bridges used their top down construction method on this project.
Golf Course Bridges at the Gordon Lakes Golf Course
The completed project consists of three free-span golf course bridges in various locations throughout the Gordon Lakes Golf Course. The bridges measure from 40’ to 62’ in length. All three bridges are constructed with glue lam free-span girters with 4 x 12 timber decking. The exposed faces of the glue lams are flagstone façade to give the beautiful appearance of stone bridges. These golf course bridges create appealing landscapes with long-lasting practicality for any environment.
