Neabsco Creek Boardwalk
Our team had the honor of building the Neabsco Creek Boardwalk, constructed along the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Virginia. As the newest segment of the 700-mile Potomac Heritage Scenic Trail, this wetland trail system connects neighborhoods, schools, and other attractions by creating a newly designated regional park with the connective boardwalk as its uniting centerpiece. Neabsco Creek Boardwalk is 10’ wide and 3,300’ long, with a two-level observation deck, a single-level observation deck, and three overlooks. It is constructed from timber-glulam beams and black locust lumber, ensuring durability and sustainability. The environmentally-friendly design and top-down construction method allow the public to enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape while preserving the delicate wetland ecosystem.
