We at Nature Bridges understand how important it is to celebrate those who have impacted our lives. This year, Father’s Day falls on Sunday, June 21st, and we’re sharing some ideas for ways to make it extra special! What better way to honor the father figures in your life than by helping them enjoy the fresh air? You can spend time with your dad outdoors while practicing social distancing or plan activities for him to do on his own time. Plan a scenic picnic, gift him a round of golf, or even go on a socially-distanced bike ride with him on a new biking trail. Check out some of our projects across the country for some outdoor inspiration:
Yellowstone Golf Club – Big Sky, MT
The Yellowstone Gold Club in Montana features a golfing backdrop unlike any other – waterfalls, mountain views, and wildflowers surround newly repaired golf cart bridges amongst the scenic Big Sky backdrop. Even if your dad can’t make it all the way out to Montana, you can gift him a round of golf to enjoy on his day.
Neabsco Creek Boardwalk – Woodbridge, VA
If hiking is dad’s preferred recreational activity, visit somewhere like Neabsco Regional Park in Woodbridge, Virginia. This park sits on the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail and provides a chance to view the Potomac waterfront. There’s no better way to spend a relaxing Father’s Day!
Cypress Creek Nature Preserve – Tampa, FL
Cypress Creek Nature Preserve in Tampa, Florida features multi-use trails that are perfect for taking some time to enjoy the outdoors. You can spend the day with dad enjoying a bike ride through natural landscapes like this one for a fun way to social-distance together.
However he chooses to spend his day, Father’s Day is an opportunity to get outside and celebrate those you love. Make sure to check local park hours and guidelines before heading out to ensure you and your dad enjoy the day safely. We at Nature Bridges wish a happy Father’s Day to all those celebrating!
